Vineyard
The Shiraz grapes for G.A.M. are hand harvested at 2 tons an acre from the Willunga district of McLaren Vale, South Australia.

Vintage - 2003
2003 produced limited quantities of incredibly flavoured and deep coloured fruit, with almost perfect ripening conditions from veraison through to harvest.

Winemaking
Grapes are harvested according to flavour profile with frequent trips to the vineyard before and during vintage to assess flavour development and maturation progress. Each parcel of fruit forG.A.M. is fermented on skins for 10 days followed by barrel fermentation. The wine is then aged in 70% New French oak & 30% one & two year old French/American oak for 16 months

Tasting Note
Dark plum colour. Powerful, brooding nose of nutmeg, white-pepper, black cherry and licorice. Full bodied, hints of plum and pepper on the palate, multilayered supple, ripe tannin. Finishes with density and dark chocolate hints.
